Mission Statement The mission of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. is to improve the quality of life within our communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans. Value Statement 100 Black Men of America, Inc. is committed to the intellectual development of youth and the economic empowerment of the African American community based on the following precepts: respect for family, spirituality, justice, and integrity. Vision Statement 100 Black Men of America, Inc. seeks to serve as a beacon of leadership by utilizing our diverse talents to create environments where our children are motivated to achieve, and to empower our people to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic and social fabric of the communities we serve. Four for the Future The efforts of the Philadelphia Chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. will focus on four initiatives: Mentoring Education & Scholarships Health & Wellness Economic Development
The 100 Black Men of America strives to serve as a strong positive force in the world by overcoming the cultural and financial obstacles that have limited the achievements of some minorities, particularly young African American males. Mentors of the 100 have made outstanding progress, proving to disadvantaged youth that they, too, can succeed and excel as students, corporate leaders, community leaders, and as independent business owners.
Mentoring that occurs within youth chess, athletic, and career readiness programs for youth include topics such as:

* Developing A Strong Work Ethic
