Mission Statement

Volunteers of America of Florida is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to assist through outreach to homeless, disabled persons, families, veterans and seniors. Whether we are helping to meet an individual’s basic needs or helping them with securing housing, health services and /or training, education and employment services each of us as staff, volunteers, students and board members share in our ministry of service. Our ministry and mission transcend any particular faith. The vision for Volunteers of America of FL is: Florida communities where all people live with a spiritual sense of well being, opportunities for training and employment, and a place to call home.

Description

Creekside Manor Apartments I & II is a low-income HUD funded housing community for senior citizens and disabled persons run by Volunteers of America of FL. Our goal is to keep them active and independent so they can continue living in our independent housing communities. Unfortunately, as a not for profit we are very low on funds for the seniors and we are in need of donations and volunteered services. We have a vision of what our community will look like in the near future. We wish to provide them with social activities and opportunities to socialize with their neighbors. One of the ways which we can do this is by providing them with an incentive to come out into the community room events and activities.
