Liberation In Truth Unity Fellowship Church is a space that is spiritually affirming to the Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, and Bi-Sexual Community, and indeed to all people.

We believe that all people have access to the love of God.

We believe that in order to practice LOVE we must be involved in the affairs of society, fight for social justice, and provide for all according to their need Therefore, we are committed to:

  • Visiting prisons

  • Feeding the hungry

  • Clothing the naked

  • Providing education

  • Housing the homeless

  • Protecting our environment

  • Visiting the sick and shut-in

  • Protecting animal, plant, and marine life

  • Societal involvement for the freedom of all

God is ...

· God is Love and Love is for Everyone
· God is greater than any religion, denomination
or school of thought.
· God is Spirit, alive and at work in the Moslem
Mosque, Jewish Synagogue, Christian Church,
and Tribal Ritual.
· God is Spirit and Spirit has no gender.
· God is omnipresent, present everywhere

Description

Liberation In Truth Unity Fellowship Church, a member of the National Unity Fellowship Church Movement, is a space that is spiritually affirming to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community, and to all people. Since its founding by Elder Reverend Jacquelyn Holland in 1995, people of every denomination and cultural background have participated in and benefited from our mission and ministries.

In keeping with this ideal, and in response to the needs of our congregation and community, in 1998 Liberation In Truth UFC opened Loving In Truth, an HIV/AIDS prevention and education program. Services offered by the program include spiritually focused culturally specific counseling, HIV Counseling and Testing, Prevention and Intensive Case Management, Support Groups, Health Education/Risk Reduction sessions, and Street and Community outreach.

In 2002 we expanded our services by adding The Open Door Drop in Center which provides immediate care services to the homeless, injection drug users, sex workers and to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, or who are at high risk of contracting the virus.
