Mission Statement

DC Books to Prisons works to add humanity to the lives of people who are incarcerated.

Description

DC Books to Prisons sends donated books to prisoners around the country in response to individual requests. Many have no or very limited access to any educational or reading material. We send about 12,000 books a year and are flooded with more requests than we can respond to.
