Description

We provide care for many citizens for whom there is no viable alternative. Our residents range in age from 19 to over 90. They include the elderly and the disabled. We provide unique care for those who suffer from a serious illness or disabilities - including genetic diseases like multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy and severe disability caused by head traumas or spinal injuries.

In addition to the medical and rehabilitative services, we provide our residents social and recreational activities on and off campus. We believe that whatever disabilities our residents have, we try to infuse them with a can-do spirit.

The Adult Day Health Care Center just opened this month (November 2006). The Center assists adults who need direct medical supervision or personal care supervision to remain as independent as possible in the home environment. We provide care up to five days a week through a structured and comprehensive program which provides a variety of health, social , and recreational services.

The home is owned by the State of Louisiana.
