Description
Formerly known as the Spina Bifida Association of Dallas, SBANT was organized in 1973 as a support group for parents of children with SB. Remaining an all volunteer organization, we have provided services to families through north Texas for over 33 years. We sponsor a summer camp for children in June, we sponsore adult retreats and family camp weekends, we fund educational scholarships, we hold conferences, we provide emergency funding, we publish a newsletter, we advocate for the rights of the disabled, and we maintain a 'warm line" for information distribution. We have a large Spanish language outreach program. We are affiliated with SBA, the national organization. We are a 501 (c) (3) non profit charitable corporation.
