BASICS International

Description

Since 2000, BASICS International has transformed over 300,000 lives through various initiatives. We’ve provided over 3,000 educational sponsorships, with half empowering young girls to promote gender equality. We've also created safe spaces for at-risk girls and offered scholarships, leading to 5 university graduates (and counting).Our global volunteer network of over 1,000 individuals from 21 countries has played a key role in our mission. We’ve also supported two U.S. university Fellowships, fostering international collaboration. Through our social enterprise, #IAM HEDZOLE (freedom), we empower women with sewing and textile skills, enabling them to earn income from handcrafted products sold worldwide. Proceeds from Hedzole support our feeding program, which provided 25,000 meals in 2022.
