Mission Statement

The goal of the Solano County SPCA is to provide a loving, responsible home for every adoptable animal in Solano County. As well as providing education to the public on pet overpopulation, safety and humane practices dealing with companion animals.

Description

We are a private non-profit organization. We are funded solely by donations and adoption fees. Our facility houses up to forty dogs and fifty cats at any one time. We also have several animals in volunteer foster homes. We have a very small paid staff and rely heavily on our volunteers to provide much needed affection and training for the animals.

As a volunteer you will help by increasing the adoptablity of our animals while at the shelter. You will provide exercise and training for the animals thus reducing their stress levels and increasing their chances of being adopted.
