The Junior League of Troy, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The Junior League of Troy strengthens the lives of women and children at risk in our community by embracing diverse perspectives, building family and community partnerships, and inspiring shared solutions.

I have been volunteering with the Junior League of Troy since September 2013 and cannot begin to describe how my involvement in the Troy community with the influential women in this Organization has impacted the community and me personally. The League's current focus is on literacy in Troy and the surrounding areas of Rensselaer County, and members have planned and implemented literacy trainings, educational events, book drives, goods and services donations, and so much more-- in ways that engage and elicit the interest of people of all ages. If you live in or have an interest/passion for Troy, I truly recommend getting involved with this organization to become a local change agent and an empowered community member.
