Mission Statement

Since our formation in 1988, the mission of Foundation for Affordable Housing has been to create safe, comfortable, high-quality, affordable rental homes for very low to moderate income people. We believe that "Home" is more than the roof over our head. Home is that corner of the world we can call their own - a space to find respite and to welcome our family and friends. Having a home is essential to the happiness and well-being of people and the community in which we live. The home is woven into the fabric of society and creates the color and texture of the community itself. A safe, comfortable, affordable home generates a sense of self-respect and dignity that extends beyond the confines of our homes into the community at large.

Description

Our focus at Brisa Del Mar Apartments will be to put into place a completely free after school Learning Center for our resident children. The Learning Center will offer a unique opportunity for resident children ages kindergarten through high school to visit a safe and secure environment for a healthy snack, help with schoolwork, and an opportunity for socialization and mentorship. Our main goal for the Learning Center is to get the youth focused on and prepared for a 4 year college education as well as to empower and help them realize their full potential.
