Civil Air Patrol's (CAP) Westover Composite Squadron is a Western MA branch of the organization. We uphold the organizations three missions of aerospace education, cadet programs, and emergency services for our section of the Commonwealth.
Aerospace education involves making community and internal presentations and classes on the principles of flight, history of aviation, and other related topics.
Cadet programs is involved with youth from age 12-18 learning about leadership, character development, drill and ceremony, and other functions. The squadron also regularly performs community service with our cadet component, including toy drives and other charitable works.
Emergency services has trained and quailified CAP members responding to requests for air and ground-based search and rescue, disaster relief, and mutual aid assistance with other organizations such as the Red Cross.
Any interested person of any age older than 12 is welcome to see what our organization is all about in person! Interested persons of age 12-18 would be candidates for the cadet program while individuals 18 years or age or older would join as a senior member and help in aerospace education, emergency services, or to assist in the running of the cadet program.
