YOU CAN HELP SAVE ANIMALS TODAY! Unfortunately, an arsonist bured down Ark R.A.I.N. Wildlife Sanctuary and Co-Founder and the primary caretakers residence in November 2010 killing several precious animals and destroying nearly everything in sight! The sanctuary lost its normal source of funding due to the fire also since many of the animals that perished were the animal ambassadors for the sanctuary's educational outreach programs that had supported the sanctuary for 16 years prior to this horrific event. Without prior knowledge or experience raising funds in other ways, no insurance or other funding, it was impossible for the sanctuary to relocate, to rebuild or to replace anything that was lost. The sanctuary had to resort to asking for donations on its social media sites to raise enough funds each month to continue caring for the 60+ surviving animals. UPDATE: In 2017, nearly 7 years after the tragedy, the sanctuary had a successful fundraiser that raised enough funds to acquire a new, safe, beautiful location to relocate the sanctuary. The sanctuary has had a few small, successful fundraisers since then to rebuild animal habitats, make some repairs to others and finish running electricity to all indoor buildings. Currently, the sanctuary still needs to raise funds to run water to reach all of the outside animal habitats, purchase farming equipment, fencing, repair of the food transport vehicle, repair of several of the sanctuary fences and entry road repair. The sanctuary also needs to raise funds to pay regular sanctuary expenses and animal care since regular online donations are low due to the economy and state of the nation right now. Ark RAIN Wildlife Sanctuary is in need of several individuals that can help with raising funds. Please call or email if you are able to help through crowd funding or other means. We also need help building a larger group of monthly supporters. YOU MUST live in the US and speak English for this opportunity since we do not currently have anyone to interpret or a way to make International calls. (Maybe in the future.) Since an arsonist burned down our sanctuary a few years ago, we have lost our regular operating income for the sanctuary and rely solely on reaching people through our website and our social media sites. We believe that having an updated and interactive website will help us reach more people with our message which will inturn help the 60 animals that have a permanent home at the sanctuary!
