Mission Statement

#SDVolunteerWeek2016 Lend a hand to support San Diego's City services and programs during April Volunteer Week (April 10-16). The Citywide Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to participate in various opportunities across the City's parks, reservoirs, and libraries.

Description

Volunteers assist the City’s workforce in enhancing services to the public by performing tasks beyond the capacity and scope of current City employees. Volunteers are found supporting special populations; help with the success of various environmental, library, neighborhood youth and adult programs; and assist with parks and beach beautification projects. The City’s volunteers represent the City’s diversity; including seniors, minorities, students, professionals, families, active and non-active military, faith-based and neighborhood community groups.
