Mission Statement

Splore promotes empowering experiences in an active friendly world through affordable, customized, and inclusive recreation and education programs for people of all abilities.

Description

Splore is a Utah based non-profit organization that specializes in adaptive adventures. Our adventures include white water rafting, canoeing, rock climbing, cross-country skiing and other adaptive recreation activities. The setting for all of our programs is Utah's magnificent outdoors.

Splore ran its first accessible rafting program during the summer of 1977 and for more than 30 years, has served over 40,000 individuals with disabilities including volunteers, care providers, friends and family members. These adventure experiences act as a catalyst towards greater independence, well being and self esteem.

I am currently volunteering with the Rock On! program, and I love it! This program is meaningful to both the children with autism and the volunteers who mentor them. It's a fun way to get involved, and the time commitment is minimal, which works well for volunteers with busy schedules. The Splore staff is supportive, friendly, and dedicated.
