Description
Created in 1987 when the Fondation Justine-Lacoste-Beaubien and Fondation Sainte-Justine joined forces, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation is dedicated to providing children and mothers-to-be with a standard of care that is among the very best in the world. This is the goal underlying all of our fundraising efforts.
Among the Foundation’s most recent achievements is the Growing Up Healthy campaign. Launched in 2002, it raised $125 million dollars in four years in support of the forward-looking modernization and expansion project developed for the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Centre. The resulting construction and renovation work is slated to wrap up in 2016.
This tremendous achievement helped pave the way for the next big undertaking: Healing More Better. Rolled out in December 2012, the Healing More Better campaign aims to attract $150 million in donations over a six-year period to invest in integrating research, healthcare and teaching activities, with the ultimate goal of accelerating the pace of discovery and ensuring that more and more children in Quebec have a happier and healthier future.
The generosity of the business community and the general public, combined with the expertise of our team of professionals, means that Sainte-Justine can now focus of maintaining this high level of excellence. This is also one of the key reasons our mother-child university hospital centre today ranks as the largest in Canada and the second largest in North America.
