There are hundreds of LAUSD Retirees, who want to help out the district by helping working teachers in classrooms. This gesture, not only relieves the tension of a teacher, but raises the self esteem of all involved in a classroom. The budget cuts and the large class size is a bad formula for success. By having volunteer teachers, this issue can be automatically solved. Someone needs to think about this in LAUSD.
