The Civil Air Patrol has been providing emergency services for over 50 years. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, and to make a difference. There is something for everyone to learn to do. The myriad of jobs and roles are not limited to only aviation, so if your not familiar with aviation, your not alone. I have found that members are all gregarious, and always willing to make themselves available as a mentor. Since I have joined, I have learned many neat and applicable tips and skills. I only regret not having joined earlier!

A great organization to join. I missed being in the military and this is a wonderful way of still be connected to the Air Force.

Squadron 150 is a fantastic group of professionals who want to give back to their communities through their aviation skills, search and rescue training, cadet services, and aerospace education. I recommend everyone come and check it out! Pilots and non pilots are welcome along with photographers. David Powell

This organization provides the opportunity to serve as much or as little as you wish. It’s also wonderful how many areas or career specialty's you can dive into with this organization. For a young person wanting to ensure a leg-up on their resume and career, I would definitely advise volunteering with this organization because whatever your career, they will have a corresponding specialty that will provide you with an opportunity to increase your skills with tons of USAF training, adding skill-sets to your resume. Helping your career and at the same time helping your community. It’s a win-win!
