WordTheatre gives voice to great writing. We are working to ignite a passion for reading, writing and self-expression in our community and in future generations.

Description

We are an innovative, internationally recognized, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring empathy, curiosity and conversation through powerful and entertaining performances, both live and recorded, of the world’s best contemporary literature. We work with talented film, television and theatre actors to bring short stories to life in Los Angeles, New York, London and beyond. We create performances for our supporters, for Title I middle and high school students, for fellow charitable organizations and for festival and literary prizes.
