Odyssey of the Mind After School

Mission Statement

Odyssey of the mind is a creative problem solving competition that has been around for 34 years. teams of 5 to 7 students form a team a solve a given problem using STEM and 21 century skills and Common Core and purpose their solution in the form of an 8 min play which the members make the props costumes and write the dialog, make it entertaining. Then there is a spontaneous part of the competition, The team walks in to a room and the judges give them their problem and short amount of time they are scored on their team work creativity and solution. Teams will form when the full cha l lenge problems are released in early September and work on their solutions until the Central Regional Tournament on March 8, 2014 held at Scottsdale Community College.
We go to schools, community centers, and where ever there are kids and work with them on solving the Odyssey problems.
