Association of Northwest Steelheaders

Description

The purpose of our organization is scientific, educational and charitable. As an Oregon 501(c)(3) we have identified 6 current goals as of 10/1/2006. Goal 1: provide educational programs & material to connect the public to fish, fish habitat and fishing and the issues these subjects are facing. Goal 2: Restore the form & function of natural watersheds to support restored wild coldwater fisheries in the Pacific Northwest. Goal 3: Improve sport fisheries through action and advocacy of the "All H" principles (habitat, harvest, hatcheries & hydro) Goal 4: Insure the public right to use the beds and banks of navigable rivers.
