Mission Statement

The mission of Habitat for Safe Seniors is to improve the quality of life for the senior citizens of the Canyon Lake/Comal County area by providing immediate repair service to their residences, and
honor advancing age without concern for physical or financial ability.

Description

Established in 2004, Habitat for Safe Seniors is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to repairing unsafe conditions in the homes of the elderly and physically challenged citizens of the Canyon Lake community. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and building supplies, the organization seeks to eliminate potentially dangerous situations in both the home and surrounding property that could possibly harm or injure the elderly resident. Habitat for Safe Seniors was created to help all persons, 55 years of age and older, who can no longer help themselves.

Our programs are three-fold and currently provide (1) home repairs and structural modifications, (2) yard maintenance, general clean up and (3) weekend food delivery and food pantry. All programs are designed to remedy a safety issue, health/nutrition deficiency, and to provide a secure living environment for our older friends.
