Organization Information

Mission Statement

To improve conditions of employment for low wage workers in NW Arkansas by educating, organizing, and empowering them, and calling on people of faith in the region to publicly support the workers' efforts.

Description

We combine direct service to workers with visible public advocacy on issues affecting them. Most of our clients are some of the most disempowered employees in the state, including monolingual Spanish-speakers, undocumented laborers, line production employees in the poultry industry, and construction workers.

Our volunteers engage in a variety of tasks including workshops for workers, intake interviews, and distribution of materials designed to assist workers or refer them to appropriate places including lawyers, other non-profits, and state and federal agencies.
