Mission Statement

Established in October 2001, our mission is to enhance the livability of our greater
Douglas County area by:

• Educating the public regarding environmental deterioration caused by solid waste, and the benefits and process of recycling building materials that would otherwise be deposited in landfills.
• Combating environmental deterioration attributable to construction and demolition debris by reclaiming and diverting usable building materials from Oregon landfills.
• Providing job training for low-income individuals in Douglas County, OR,
  including participants in Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF) and formerly incarcerated individuals.
• Promoting the retention of affordable housing through the maintenance and rehabilitation of structures utilizing salvaged building materials.
