Promoting Tolerance and Understanding by Teaching the History and Lessons of the Holocaust
Description
The Holocaust Museum promotes tolerance and understanding by teaching the history and lessons of the Holocaust through its exhibits and educational programs. Through its collection of some 300 authentic Holocaust artifacts and a unique pictorial history beginning with the rise of Nazism and ending with Allied liberation and the Nuremberg trials, the Museum provides a moving portrait of Holocaust atrocities. The Museumâ s focus is to reach middle and high school students through educational programs both in the Museum and in the classroom. The Museum is open to the public and visitors participate in art and photo exhibits, film series, lectures and other events. The Museum has a free lending library of books and videos.
