I-CARE

Mission Statement

I-CARE's mission is to increase the number of people who survive cardiac arrests in Nassau County New York. This will be done through efforts in the prehospital setting. I-CARE's plan is to utilize county, town and community organizations by:
1. Empowering each to implement specific key interventions
2. Coordinating these efforts into one seamless system
3. Implementing measures to ensure both short and long term success of the program

Programs similar to I-CARE have been instituted with great success in several locations
across the country. With the hard work of dedicated volunteers we hope that ICARE will help
save lives in Nassau County. This program’s size and scope will be one of the largest efforts of
its kind in US history!
