Mission Statement

Academic Adventures in American is a foreign student cultural exchange program dedicated to bringing people from around the world together to better understand each others' cultures. We provide short-term programs in the United States for students from abroad who study English and who want to learn more about American life and culture. We hope to improve international relations by having people meet and get to know each other through our short-term programs.

Description

We provide programs for foreign students who want to come to the US for periods of 1-8 weeks throughout the year. Programs can be 1)Total Immersion - a student lives with a host family for 1-4 weeks and just lives their normal family life. There are no planned activities.

2)Class Programs - Students are placed in a community where there are planned activities every day--a combination of English conversation classes, local activities, and excursions.

3)School Guest Programs - An individual student comes to live with a family and attend the local middle or high school for up to 4 weeks.
