Mission Statement

CC International deploys volunteers where they are needed most and gets the most value out of each volunteer hour through effective management and comprehensive logistical support.

Description

Community Collaborations International was founded in 1994 and has managed over 3000 volunteers from over sixty Universities and other groups providing disaster relief and completing environmental and human service projects nationally and internationally. Since 1994, we have provided technical assistance and program development support to conservation and educational organizations. Director Steve Boisvert is the author of Introduction to Natural Resource Management Careers and has been a conservation leader for over twenty five years. He has provided consulting services to the Corporation for National Service, The U.S. Forest Service, The White House Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps, and has been appointed by the United States Secretary of Agriculture to a Regional Advisory Committee which funds rural conservation projects. CCI works in coordination with United Nations Development Program funded Cooprena RL, Cahuita National Park, Recicaribe, The Costa Rican Ministry for the Environment, The Talamancan Association of Ecotourism and Conservation, Opportunity Access, and Asociacion ANAI winner of the prestigious United Nations Equator Award and many other national and international programs dedicated to providing volunteer services where they are needed most. Unlike many international service programs that place volunteers across the globe, CC International only sends volunteers to programs that have been personally inspected and selected by CC International staff.

I have volunteered through CCI in the last 3 years for our school Alternative Spring Break trip and the experience has never let me down. They are organized, well-connected with the community, knowledgable about the issue. The aspect that I admire the most about them is their ability to inspire others, especially students to serve. Their passion to serve the community is evident and positively influence the students!
