Mission Statement

The Central Coast YMCA embraces the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, with a mission to strengthen community through programs that develop youth, support healthy living and foster social responsibility.

Description

For over 110 years the Y has been creating lasting change for individuals, families and communities of the Central Coast. Over the years, we have responded to current community needs, whether it was supporting military families during WWII, building parent-child relationships through the Y Guide programs or more recently, reassuring working parents that their children are safe through the Y's after school programs. In 1989 we merged three YMCAs to form the Central Coast YMCA, sharing resources for improved efficency. Today, we are strengthening communities from Santa Cruz and San Benito counties to south Monterey County through our five locations in Hollister, Monterey, Salinas, Soledad and Watsonville.
