Full Circle Group Incorporated Mission Statement
Full Circle Group Inc. (FCG) is a non-profit organization chartered by the State of Ohio. FCG's general mission is to accept donated computers from individuals and institutions, that we refurbish and put back into service with schools, other non-profit organizations and individuals who could not normally afford them on their own. The finer, ethical components of our mission makes it essential that FCG provide an enhanced computing experience, by configuring our computers specifically for the novice user to get a better, more productive and safer start into the world of computing. FCG provides training designed to promote a better understanding of computers from the hardware and software configuration, on to specifically how computers can be used to assist individuals and organizations in achieving their goals. FCG unlike other refurbishing operations, goes beyond providing refurbished computers and training. In fact, FCG feels that simply providing a computer with access to today's Internet, can be dangerous for even an experienced user, and even more so for their children. Because of the on going changes on the Internet, FCG feels obligatorily compelled to prepare individuals for their entry into the world of computing by creating, planning and implementing programs and training that will allow the computer user to better understand the full scope of computing, ranging from the benefits of computing, on to the variety of dangers it can present. To further this ethically based objective, FCG will work with others as needed, to find, promote and implement more creative and thought provoking ways to bring disadvantaged individuals and organizations not just physically into the world of computing with a machine, intellectually with training and socially with instructive programs, but also with a measurable degree of security which provides for an environment conducive to the full and safer application of the computers functionality. These supportive tools and programs coupled with a refurbished computer makes for an individual better able to apply what they have learned with confidence and pride, which translates into an improved quality of life for the individual, and ultimately for the community as well.
