Mission Statement

Our mission is to accelerate research for better treatments, faster diagnosis, and a cure for multiple sclerosis.

Description

Accelerated Cure Project’s (ACP) mission is to improve the health, healthcare, and quality-of-life for people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) by connecting people with MS, care partners, clinicians and researchers, and to work together to accelerate innovation, research, and the application of new knowledge.

We fulfill our mission through the development and deployment of centralized resources that enable people-centered research in MS. Our resources include the ACP Repository; iConquerMS(tm) -- the only people-powered research network for multiple sclerosis; and, the MS Minority Research Engagement Partnership Network.

For more information, please ACP’s websites at www.acceleratedcure.org and www.iConquerMS.org, email info@acceleratedcure.org, or contact the organization by phone at 781/487-0008.

Sending you prayers, I was diagnosed in 2010 and seemed to go down hill quickly. In six years I could no longer work and had real problems with balance and joint pain. Brain fog was really bad sometimes. I took rebif and had a lot of problems and had to quit. I have been on techfadera (not spelled right) for a few years and have several side effects. I felt lost and decided to quit my meds due to side effects. Our care provider introduced me to Ayurvedic treatment. I had a total decline of all symptoms including vision problems, numbness and others. Sometimes, i totally forget i ever had MS. Visit Natural Herbs Centre web-site naturalherbscentre. com. I am very pleased with this treatment. I eat well, sleep well and exercise regularly. God bless all MS Warriors

I have been volunteering at ACP events for a couple years now and I have thoroughly enjoyed each experience. Having volunteered at many other events for various organizations, I have found that ACP plans extremely well for their volunteers and makes you feel like an integral component of their work, as opposed to a burden. I've always felt like the staff at ACP has welcomed me at each event, asked to hear about the developments in my life since we last saw each other, and kept me informed throughout the event as to expectations, breaks, and feedback. As I mentioned before, I have volunteered with many other organizations, however, ACP is the one I have gone back to time and time again because I truly feel appreciated and a part of all the good ACP is trying to accomplish. I would recommend ACP to anyone who is looking for an opportunity to connect with an organization that has a powerful mission and a willingness and desire to make volunteers a part of that work.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of volunteering at several ACP events over the past year. Each event has been well organized and the expectations and schedule for volunteers have been well outlined and communicated ahead of time. We have volunteered for other organizations in the past, but found that with much larger organizations, we never got to connect directly with the cause or the people benefiting from the organization. What keeps us coming back to ACP is the close connection to the people and the cause. Both the event attendees and the ACP employees are so warm and welcoming that we feel like we are part of the family at each event. This is an amazing organization and a great opportunity to work directly with and for the people that benefit from an incredible cause.
