Our mission is to provide proper medical care and rehabilition for all types of animals in need.
We are a 501c3 non-profit exotic and domestic animal sanctuary servicing special needs cases that would otherwise result in being destroyed. We also take in and provide care for red-listed shelter animals in lower income neighborhoods where there is a high census of euthanasia.
I have volunteered with this rescue for almost 3 years. Helping with the pet adoptions on the weekend was fun and it was great seeing families pick out a new family member! If you have free time and love animals this is a great way to spend that time. Think Adoption First!
DO NOT BUY, ADOPT OR LEAVE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!! YouTube or Google them - following is a quote from a news story on the outcome of "The other 40 charges on file against her, including 25 counts of torture or cruelty to animals, two counts of failure to provide program to control disease and care for health and 13 additional counts of sanitation violations were dismissed as part of a plea deal she accepted from the district attorney’s office." In many of these cases, dogs died from lack of water and/or food and medical care, overworked employees walked off the job and called for change. Mary K. Miller exchanged dogs' lives for a plea deal from Nye County DA's office.
