Mission Statement
The Mission of the Manual Academic Resource Center (MARC) is to serve and support Denver Public High Schools with community resources to ensure that ALL Manual students stay and succeed in school. Due to the displacement of all Manual students from their community, dispersed to a myriad of other DPS high schools, a community resource center can provide high schools with additional support for students to succeed while being located in a more accessible location. Former Manual students have chosen to join various schools and participate in their community. We want to offer ourselves as a resource to every high school to use in making the students' transition one of ease and success.
Description
The goal of the M.A.R.C is to offer a variety of support services to every high school community to encourage the academic and personal success of those students who live in the Manual neighborhood. These services include:
Tutoring Program
College Preparation
Job Readiness and Training
Mentoring
Academic Advising
Due to the closing of Manual High School for the 2006-2007 school year, the MARC wishes to serve the displaced students by providing the services listed above.
