Mission Statement

Cabrini Mission Corps missioners are women and men responding to the Church's universal call to holiness with a special desire to serve others. In the spirit of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, missioners are daring and courageous enough to strive to be in solidarity with our brothers and sisters throughout the world, especially those who are poor and marginalized. Missioners collaborate with the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to bring the love and mercy of Jesus into every situation in which they minister, and in so doing, promote Gospel values.

Description

Cabrini Mission Corps is a lay mission program sponsored by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, commonly known as the Cabrini Sisters. CMC was founded to offer lay women and men the opportunity to serve for one to two years in the United States or overseas. CMC missioners make a difference while ministering in education, health care, child care, elder care, pastoral ministry, and social services, while living simply in a support community, usually with Cabrini sisters and sometimes with other missioners.

Benefits: Healthcare coverage; small living allowance; room and board; community living; travel to and from ministry site; student loan deferment. Spiritual growth and support, including 2-week orientation, on-site comprehensive orientation and work-related training; 2 yearly retreats; concluding debriefing retreat. No costs to volunteer.
