Mission Statement

EGRET's mission is to work with volunteers in enhancing the wildlife and native plant habitat of Aquatic Park, to assist the City of Berkeley in its stewardship of this regional biological resource, and to provide visitors with facilities, programs, and educational material that showcase the park's natural features.

Description

Based in the Cabin on the eastern side of Middle Pond in the City of Berkeley's Aquatic Park, EGRET's volunteers remove weeds and trash, spread mulch, and plant natives along the bayshore and freshwater wetlands. We offer tours of the park that highlight its cultural and natural history.
