Mission Statement
Latinos United of Carroll County, Inc. is a non-profit community-based organization whose purpose is to bring together
disempowered and marginalized Latinos from various cultural backgrounds to organize into a community with a common sense
of identity; a community, able to articulate its own needs and to develop processes, resources, and opportunities for its
successful integration into the economic, social, and cultural life of Carroll County.
LUCC's goals include:
· Creating a Latino Community Center where people can gather, network, socialize, share their experiences, and celebrate their
culture.
· Opening a space where Latinos can begin to articulate their struggles and challenges in the transition to life in the US: where
they can learn to capitalize on their strengths and talents as a community to help each other, as well as to seek assistance
beyond the Latino culture.
Helping to foster Latino leadership that can spearhead resource development initiatives, and other organized Latino efforts.
