Mission Statement

Spreckels Memorial District was formed in 1947 under the State of California Military & Veterans Code, Sections 1170-1259 et seq. This code allows for special assessments to build and operate veterans related services and facilities.

Description

Spreckels Memorial District owns and operates Spreckels Memorial Building in conjuction with Lt. Billy Paulsen Jr. Post #6849 Veterans of Foreign Wars [VFW]. SMD also owns and operates Spreckels Memorial Park for outdoor and recreational purposes.
