Description
Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW) Refugee Resettlement Program is an affiliate of both Church World Service (CWS) and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services (LIRS). LSS- SW receives those refugees to the Phoenix area through its ties with these two international organizations. Many of our clients are fleeing wars, ethnic and religious persecution, and gender based violence. They come from all over the world with the hope to start new lives here and become citizens of the US. LSS-SW helps these people through 6 months of intensive case management including locating and furnishing apartments before arrival, providing food, finding jobs, tutoring in English, locating educational opportunities, and providing friendship and support.
