Camp Out for Kids

Description

Camp Out for Kids was founded in 2007 in Chicago, IL with the vision of providing novel summer based experiences to children who might not otherwise be afforded that opportunity. In a city whose crime rate increased 12% that year, it was apparent that kids needed outlets and activities to keep them busy during the long summer months off from school. These youth often did not have access to essential resources needed to ensure year round learning. That is where Camp Out for kids stepped in. We wanted to provide safe and exciting activities that stimulated children's interest in any area they wished.

Camp Out for Kids fundraising efforts have sent over 450 kids to camp. Over the years 2008 - 2012 our donations increased 83%. This year alone we hope to send over 400 kids to camp.
