Mission Statement

Mission:

We would like to welcome our volunteers to make a difference in the lives of street children in Cusco.

For this, we would like volunteers to follow us through Cusco's streets in order to understand how these street childrren are living everyday.

The volunteers will then visit our shelter where we offer the children decent meals, temporary rooms to shower and rest, some clean clothes and an area away from their daily street lives for a few hours.

Our aim is to provide the children with some much needed love and attention - we believe the volunteers can contribute to this by donating some of their time. This a rewarding and uplifting experience for both children and volunteers.

Description

We are an association created in June 2013 and recognized and registered in the Public Registry of Cusco (Peru) as a nonprofit non-government organization (NGO) (since 2013).

We offer a unique opportunity to study Spanish while immersed in Peruvian culture. We offer different options to learn Spanish and for anyone interested great volunteer opportunities - definitely the best way to learn Spanish quickly!

Your Spanish studies will not be confined to a classroom with lots of excursions around the beautiful town of Urubamba where we are based. We also encourage students to participate in a range of other activities that help you make the most of your time in Peru, examples are: Quechua Language Courses, workshops on Latin American / Peruvian Culture, and free daily activities, such as: discovering the countryside, home-stay opportunities with Peruvian families, Cine Latino American, etc...these also give students the opportunity to apply the Spanish you have learnt - this combination of Spanish studies and cultural activities is what we feel distinguishes our Seize The Day foundation.

Our location:
All programs are offered in Urubamba in the picturesque Sacred Valley of the Incas.
