Mission Statement

Dedicated to the eradication of the muscular dystrophies, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease), myasthenia gravis, the spinal muscular atrophies, Friedreich's ataxia and a host of other neuromuscular diseases.

Description

A national non profit organization that provides support groups, free clinic visits, summer camp for children, and assistance with the purchase of wheelchairs and leg braces. All proceeds from our fundraising events remain locally helping area adults and children with neuromuscular diseases. MDA also funds research at Vanderbilt University in Nashville and University of Tennessee in Memphis.
