The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, with an emphasis on at-risk youth, build confidence, develop character and acquire the skills needed to become productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington focus on 5 core program areas: Character & Leadership Development, Education & Career, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.

The Carteret Mortgage Boys & Girls Club is an organization that emphasizes education, positive values, caring and compassion. It is a Club for all boys and girls ages 6 (in 1st grade) to 18 (in 12 th grade). The Club has an open-door policy for children that allow them to "drop-in" when they like, and leave when they choose.
