Mission Statement

Oceanside Theatre Company's mission is to create professional quality theatre for a vibrant and diverse population. OTC will strive to reach a wide audience base and encourage and improve artistic growth in the community by producing a broad repertoire of theatre, giving local theatre artists creative opportunities and offering educational theatre and outreach programs.

Description

OTC is a community based theatre company comprised of dedicated volunteers.We have established our classes, workshops and full stage productions into the daily life at The Sunshine Brooks. We also reach out to the community and incorporate partnership programs.

OTC includes the community, students and youth by directing and producing theatre, musicals, and workshops for adults and children of all ages. Workshops will include acting, voice, improvisation, dance, music and behind the scenes training including lighting, sound, costume, make-up, set construction and design. All facets of live theatre and workshops will be taught by qualified instructors.

We will also:

  • Work cooperatively with and develop outreach programs for local schools that coincide with current productions
  • Create technical and artistic internships and mentoring programs
  • Bring children’s theatre to schools

Our long term goals include securing a permanent residence for OTC and partnering with the City of Oceanside for mutual long term growth and cultural advancement.
