Mission Statement

Dedicated to the eradication of the muscular dystrophies, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease), myasthenia gravis, the spinal muscular atrophies, Friedrich's ataxia and a host of other neuromuscular diseases.

Description

Since 1950, the Muscular Dystrophy Association has provided Greater Boston with the most comprehensive services program of any voluntary health agency in the country. From our Boston district office, MDA serves Suffolk County. Adults and children affected by neuromuscular diseases, and their families, benefit from an array of services, research and other programs.
