Mission Statement

Camp Heart to Heart provides a traditional lifetime camping experience for the special children living in the shadow of HIV/AIDS. We promote social growth, self-confidence and self-reliance. We provide an opportunity for these children to share with their peers. We provide opportunities for creative expression and physical activity.

Description

Camp Heart to Heart is an a FREE Summer Camp for children (ages 5 - 12), who are living in the shadow of HIV or AIDS. This includes kids who have HIV/AIDS, those who have a HIV+ family member, or have lost a family member to AIDS. The camp was formed in 1999 and was dedicated in honor and memory of Lion - Tom Welker, PDG. Camp Heart to Heart is a collaboration between Lions Camp Crescendo Inc., AIDS Interfaith Ministries of Kentuckiana, House of Ruth and other Louisville HIV/AIDS service organizations. The camp is made possible with financial help from individuals, companies, organizations, clubs, foundations and Lions members.
