Our aim is to inspire young people through nautical adventure and challenge to help give them a head start in life
Every weekend across the UK there are thousands of young people involved in Sea Cadet activities - learning new skills that will give them a head start in life. In fact, we work with 14,000 Sea Cadets aged between 10 and 18 - and are the UK’s largest maritime youth charity, with a history dating back to 1856.
We need your help - we need volunteers who are happy to roll up their sleeves, get involved and make a huge positive difference to the lives of the young people we work with.
We have lots of roles to match your skills and we offer training to help you gain more. You can speak to your local unit to find out how you can get involved.
You'll be helping cadets in a range of activities and learning new skills yourself! We have a mix of uniformed and non uniformed instructors and folow a rank structure aligned to the Royal Navy
