Extreme Kids and Crew (EKC) is an organization that provides play spaces for neurodivergent youth and their families. These collaborative community spaces foster self-confidence and community development for young people often isolated from public spaces. We’re looking for enthusiastic, caring individuals to support our programs for neurodivergent children and their families. Volunteers will assist with: Set-Up & Clean-Up: Help prepare the space before activities begin and tidy up after the fun. Engagement: Interact with the kids, encouraging creativity, participation, and joy throughout the session. This is a wonderful opportunity to build meaningful connections, be part of a supportive community, and directly impact the lives of amazing kids and families. Whether you’re a student, professional, or someone with a passion for inclusion and fun, we’d love to have you on our team! Rock Band: Location: Complete Studios 227 St. Marks Ave Brooklyn, NY. 11238 Time Commitment: 2 Hours. 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM. Every Sunday, April 6th- June 22nd Requirements: Have experience in different instruments Description: LET'S ROCK! Led by Lloyd H. Miller (MT-BC) and Program Manager, Christian Peralta, this program will explore many aspects of pop and rock music, and really any type of musical sounds. Kids and families will meet every Sunday for 8 weeks to play music together using different instruments including guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and voice. This club is intended for kids who are interested in playing on stage with other kids, and are skilled at playing an instrument. Rock Band includes opportunities for group/individual songwriting, get-to-know you music games and improv games, discussing lyrics to our favorite songs, and analyzing rhythms, melodies and song forms.

This annual event, happening on May 29th, is a celebration of the incredible individuals who make EKC thrive, and we need your support to bring it to life. The Felix Awards is more than just a ceremony-it’s a night dedicated to honoring the people and organizations that uplift and support neurodivergent youth and their families. We recognize those who create inclusive, accessible spaces and champion the power of community. This event is a time to come together, reflect on our shared mission, and celebrate those making a lasting impact. Every Wednesday, April 9th- June 4th Requirements: Gaming Experience, specifially in Roblex Description: Virtual Gaming Crew is an online get-together designed to let neurodiverse young people explore new worlds, unleash their creativity, and forge bonds through the power of video games. Led by Program Facilitator Cristina Nava-Sosa and Program Manager Christian Peralta, these sessions encourage participants to build off their own interests in the vast world of gaming, while further developing their social skills in a supportive environment. This club is intended for young people who would like to learn and play in a non-competitive and competitive, exploratory environment. Participants will primarily play games like Roblox, Minecraft, and Nintendo games, Fortnite, and many more!

Every Tuesday, April 8th- June 3rd Requirements: Must have experience in Dungeons and Dragons game Description: D&D Crew will encourage young people to get creative and flex their storytelling muscles as they explore the world of Dungeons & Dragons. This program is for young people who are interested in learning about and playing the popular tabletop role-playing game on a weekly basis. Lead by a Dungeon Master, players do not have to know how to play, but should have a high interest in learning the game.
