Mission Statement

With a little time and a lot of fun, we help Rochester's neediest neighbors

Description

We collect sample-sized toiletries and distribute them to human service agencies.

Clients include the homeless, rape victims, children and families in transition, survivors of domestic violence, migrant workers, and AIDs survivors.

We have distributed over 48 thousand pounds of toiletries in Rochester. Sample Soap has been recognized by the Points of Light Foundation, the White House and People Magazine; we also won a national "Make a Difference Day" award.

Sample Soap is a grassroots organization which requires no monetary donation. All they ask for is a little bit of your time to either sort or distribute toiletries to those who are less fortunate, e.g. homeless, battered women and children. The founder of this organization is very enthusiastic and welcomes any and all ideas which the group brings forth. When I leave our monthly get togethers, I always feel I have added value. I would recommend this organization to anyone looking to get their feet wet in the volunteer arena.
