Easter Seals Wisconsin has been creating life-changing solutions for individuals with disabilities and their families for over seven decades. Whether providing recreational opportunities for children, respite care for families, assisting farmers continue to farm, or gaining greater independence in everyday living, Easter Seals Wisconsin offers a variety of services to address life's challenges and achieve personal goals.
Easter Seals Wisconsin runs two camps located on 400 acres of woodlands in Wisconsin Dells: Camp Wawbeek and Respite Camp.
Camp Wawbeek serves people ages 7 and up with physical disabilities, cognitive delays, and campers on the autism spectrum. Campers who attend Camp Wawbeek must be able to function in a small group with a ratio of one counselor to two-three campers. Counselors work with two to three campers or with another counselor and three to five campers.
Respite Camp serves people ages 3 and up with more involved needs that have diagnoses of autism, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavior issues. Each camper has one counselor paired with them throughout the session.
Thank you to the Easter Seals supporters, public and private partners, and volunteers who all play vital roles in Easter Seals' work to create solutions that change lives for thousands of people with disabilities in Wisconsin.
