Mission Statement

The Junior League of Jackson county is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. It's purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The Junior League of Jackson County reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to volunteerism.

Description

For more than one hundred years, women who are passionate about learning, leading and service have joined Junior Leagues. The 193,000 members of today's Junior Leagues are women who make things happen, women building better communities. Our members are career women, working mothers, stay-at-home moms, full-time and part-time volunteers.
Last year the Junior League of Jackson County gave over $42,000 in grants to various community development organizations. Current projects include Project Care Package, providing age-appropriate backpacks to children entering foster care and the Family Nurturing Center. Past projects have included the Children's Advocacy Center, Kids Unlimited, Providence Festival of Trees, American Red Cross, ScienceWorks and Southern Oregon Drug Awareness.
