Council for Relationships is a non-profit counseling and educational institution established in 1932. Our mission is to help people understand, respect and improve the quality of the important relationships in their lives by providing unsurpassed clinical care, education, research and training. As the oldest marital training center in the USA, we are the Division of Couple and Family Studies, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, Jefferson Medical College.

Description

Council for Relationships, a preeminent non-profit counseling, education and re sea rch center, was founded in 1932 as Marriage Council of Philadelphia, and remains the oldest relationship counseling and training center in the country. We provide services for individuals, couples, children and families at fourteen locations throughout the Delaware Valley.

Council for Relationships' diverse staff specializes in areas such as:

  • couples/marital therapy
  • anger management
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • separation/divorce, blended families, parenting, co-parenting after divorce
  • issues related to gender roles
  • LGBT concerns
  • sex therapy

Our staff includes top psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, other mental health providers and clergy. We offer our counseling services on a sliding fee basis to individuals, couples, children and families in hopes of bringing happier and healthier lives to our clients.
